ISAIAH 53:5-6 NKJV                                                            But He was wounded (pierced through) for our rebellions,                                        He was bruised (crushed) for our iniquities;                                                 The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,                         And by His stripes (blows that cut in) healing was provided for us.

Jesus' life was a life of sorrow. The greatness of His grief is incomprehensible.

Nailed between two thieves as if he were the worst of the three.

He preached with awe and wonder, but the jews believed Him not, but expressed contempt for the Gospel because they rebelled against the Light.

They put contempt against His person because His appearance was lowly. because He emptied himself and abased himself. Because He submitted himself to a low condition. They saw the entry He made into the world. It did not agree with the great expectations they had of the Messiah, who was of the great family of David, and should be one of the great men that were on the earth.

They saw that His father was a poor carpenter. That He was from a city that no good could ever come out of.

He acquainted himself with grief for He acquainted himself with the grievances of others, and sympathized with them.

In His triumphal entry that day He wept over Jerusalem.

He bore his sorrows and carried them. He did not shrink under them nor did He tire, but  persevered to the end until He said, ""It is finished!"

that He would thereby make atonement for the sin of man, not His own.

When Jesus said, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?" we remember the prophecy of David's Psalm 22. He was quoting the first words of the Psalm that actually prophecies Jesus' suffering and death on the Cross. By the time we read to the end of this Psalm, David has described the victory that is won by Jesus because of the Cross.  WE HAVE THE VICTORY IN JESUS, OUR SAVIOR, NOW AND FOREVER!

JOHN AND LUCIA ABOARD A BOAT ON THEIR WAY TO THE ISLAND OF Janitzio TO MEET WITH THE CHURCH THERE. HERE THEY ARE 37 AND 26 YEARS OF AGE, THEIR MINISTRY TAKING OFF TO A GOOD START. THEY MADE THEIR TRIUMPHAL ENTRANCE ONCE THERE, but it TURNED TO TEARS AS THEIR DESIRE TO REACH AND SYMPATHIZE WITH THE PEOPLE THERE WAS SO GREAT. NONETHELESS, THE LORD HAD ALREADY PLANNED FOR A VICTORY IN EVERY CITY AND TOWN THEY ENTERED AND MINISTERED TO. THANK YOU BROTHER JOHN AND SISTER LUCIA FOR LEAVING YOUR FAMILIES, FRIENDS, JOBS AND COMFORTABLE WAY OF LIFE TO PLACE THE IMPORTANCE OF OTHERS ABOVE YOURSELVES. AS JOHN ALWAYS QUOTED, "THERE IS A PURPOSE GREATER THAN MYSELF."

Pastor Eligio runs the schedule for the year as the leader of the pastors. Even though he lost his father in January, it was not a distraction for him. He went out to the villages with more enthusiasm than before, comforted by the fact that his father had accepted Jesus before he went to be with the Lord. The pastors under Eligio are dedicated to the point of going to the roughest parts with no hesitation in their heart. unity among them is like tying a cord of three strands around them with Holy Spirit power. No arrows by day, no seeds of fear, no terror by night.

The boat used to cross the lake "Infiernillo" has remained faithful in getting the people to the churches right on schedule. We are praying for another motorboat which we undoubtedly believe will come. in the meantime, the church keeps growing by the day, showing signs of eminent revival. "Lord, send revival and fire to our hearts so we can share the good news. We do not keep it to ourselves. We want Your fire, Lord, to share the Good News everywhere we can.

Psalms 91:4  NKJV                                                                             You shall not be afraid of the terror by night.                        Nor of the arrow that flies by day,

The Lord will not only keep us from evil, but from the fear of evil. Danger is mentioned and fear fills one's being. We'll change situations or anything else, seeking to make things as safe as possible. David says, "Terror by night," which brings to mind robbers and thieves, storms and winds. But our imagination conjures up the most frightful thoughts. If we are fearful, we think ourselves unsafe. But the promise is, "Thou shall not be afraid!" We shall be as the obedient Israelites on the night of the Passover. We shall be as the courageous mothers who fought to protect their infants from the danger and darkness of the Nile. The seeds of fear we carried in our beings are as if they have been tossed onto the rocky road, never to sprout and give a harvest.

There is an arrow of destruction that flies unseen in broad daylight, but wisdom and faith keep us from being fearful because the arrow is imperfect, with a broken point and the poison has no effect. "Oh, death, where is thy sting?" It is divinely directed only where God appoints. Whatever is done, our Heavenly Father's will is done, and we have no reason to be afraid of that.

DR. COOK AND ALEJANDRA   She had her arms securely around her father's waste, her smile letting all know that her love was all she needed to be safe. Our Father in Heaven is stronger still and His love is an everlasting gaze upon every one of us, directing our lives in His safe embrace, His protection ever present. God, by His grace will keep us from distrustful fear (that fear that is torment). Every danger has its commission and that is to have our faith waver. A believer need not fear and should not fear.

God himself will be our protector; we need to be safe in him, and have him for our keeper. we are also successful because he is our undertaker. He tells us he will cover us, he will keep us in the secret place and keep us safe. God protects believers With the greatest tenderness and affection. he says He will cover us with his feathers, and under his wings find refuge. as the hen gathers her chickens under her wings By natural instinct, she not only protects them, but calls them under that protection when she sees them in danger. not only does she keep them safe but cherishes them and keeps them warm. great is God and pleased to care for his people who are helpless as the chickens and easily made a prey of. but we are invited to trust him under the shadow of his wings. it is his divine promise and providence. we have come under the wings of the God of Israel who acts with the great power and efficacy. though his Wings and feathers spread with the greatest tenderness, and they seem weak and easily broken through, he promises that His truth will be our shield and buckler, a strong defense. God is willing to guard his people as the hen is to guard the chickens, and he is as able as a man of war in armor.

Psalms 91:3   NKJV

"Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler

              And from the perilous pestilence".

The Lord emphasizes the protection and deliverance from danger that believers receive through faith in Him. That God delivers from the snare of the fowler and the perilous pestilence, highlights His role in safeguarding believers from physical and spiritual threats. David expresses a resolution to take God as a protector, which serves as a source of encouragement for others. The promises made in this verse assure believers of divine care and preservation, assuring them that they will not be overwhelmed by evil.

THE ADOPTION AJENCY AT THE GOVERNOR'S MANSION CALLED DR. JOHN COOK AND ASKED, "CAN YOU TAKE IN A FAMILY OF FIVE LITTLE ONES?", HIS ANSWER WAS SIMPLY, "YES!" SO, ARRANGEMENTS WERE MADE IMMEDIATELY FOR ADOPTION. THE FIVE HAD BEEN LEFT IN THEIR HUMBLE HOME WITHOUT FOOD AND OTHER BASIC NECESITIES. THE PARENTS WERE TAKEN AWAY FOR TRAFFICKING DRUGS AND CHILD ABUSE. CUSTODIO WAS FOUND UNCONSCIOUS AND HOSPITALIZED FOR JUVENILE DIABETES. THE YOUNGEST OF THE FIVE WAS TWO YEARS OLD.

CUSTODIO PASSED AWAY DUE TO HIS DIABETES. HE LOVED WORKING IN THE GARDEN. HE SAID, " MAMI, I'M GOING TO BE GOD'S GARDENER." WHEN WE PLANTED FLOWERS ON HIS GRAVE, I TRIED A WHITE ROSE ONE MORE TIME. OF ALL THE WHITE ROSES I HAD PLANTED, ONLY THAT ONE SURVIVED, AND i REMEMBERED WHAT CUSTODIO HAD SAID ABOUT BEING GOD'S GARDENER.

Psalms 91:2   NKJV

I WILL SAY OF THE LORD, "HE IS MY REFUGE AND MY FORTRESS;                                   MY GOD, IN HIM I WILL TRUST."

This verse is a declaration. It is a conscious choice to trust God. He is a true refuge, unlike the false idols that are tangible to idolaters but possess not the slightest power to protect, nor can they offer the eternal blessings we rely on our one, true God to possess one beautiful, holy, completely joyful day. The Lord God is worthy of our complete trust in all things and all circumstances, which stems from dwelling in God's secret place. We are testimonies to God's faithfulness to those who make Him their fortress.

WEDDING BELLS AND COMMITMENTS

MAY THE BELLS KEEP RINGING FAR INTO THEIR MARRIAGE, DECLARING TRUST IN GOD FIRST AND FOREMOST, THEN TRUST IN EACH OTHER IN EVERY CIRCUMSTANCE. MAY THEY ALWAYS DECLARE THEIR LOVE TO EACH OTHER AS IT WAS ON THE DAY THEY WERE JOINED IN MARRIAGE.  EVERY MARRIAGE IS EASILY A REMINDER TO ALL OF US OF THAT GLORIOUS DAY WHEN WE ACCEPTED JESUS INTO OUR HEARTS, MAKING OUR DECLARATIONS OF LOVE AND COMMITMENT.

PASTOR RAFAEL - ELIGIO'S FATHER - PASTOR CANDIDO

SHALL WE GATHER AT THE RIVER "AGAIN"?

YES, WE SHALL! HOWEVER THIS GATHERING WAS FOR PASTOR ELIGIO'S FATHER WHO IS BEING BAPTIZED HERE. PRAYERS ARE BEING ANSWERED, AND GOD'S PROMISES ARE KEPT IN HIS PERFECT TIMING. ELIGIO'S FATHER FIRMLY DECLARED HIS TRUST AND COMMITMENT, MAKING THE LORD HIS REFUGE, AND CONSCIOUSLY CHOOSING TO TRUST GOD. TO DWELL IN THE SECRET PLACE OF THE ALMIGHTY IS TO BE HIDDEN IN HIM BY HIS POWER ALL AROUND AS IT IS WHEN SUBMERGED IN WATER ALL AROUND.    HIS BAPTISM WAS A TESTAMONY TO ALL THAT IT IS NEVER TOO LATE TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT WITH THE ALLPOWERFUL, TRUSTWORTHY GOD. HE IS JUST TO FOR-GIVE AND SAVE FROM THAT GREAT AND TERRIBLE DAY.

Psalms 91:1

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High

Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

How   are   we   to  be assured  of  safety  in  the  coming days,  months  or years?    To  believers   who   place   their  love  and trust  in  God, divine protection is promised.   What  a privilege it is to abide, to rest, and by faith  choose God for our  guardian.  We, whose life  of communion with God  is   constant,  can   maintain  a  holy   serenity  that  is  constant.   As believers, when we abide in Him, we are at Home.

CARLOS ALBERTO
CARLOS ALBERTO

JOHN & LUCIA'S CHILDREN LIVED BENEATH THE SHADOW OF THEIR PROTECTION. CARLOS ALBERTO WAS ONE OF FOUR SIBLINGS THAT WERE RESCUED FROM ABUSE AND BROUGHT TO THE MANO DE AYUDA RANCH. LOCKED IN A ROOM WITH NO LIGHT OR FOOD FOR DAYS AT A TIME, YOU CAN IMAGINE THE HORRIBLE SIGHT AND SMELL AS THEY WERE DISCOVERED AND RESCUED. IT WAS A REAL CHALLENGE BRINGING THEM INTO A NORMAL ATMOSPHERE. SURROUNDED BY THE OTHER CHILDREN WHO SHARED THEIR TOYS AND HELPED MAKE A PLACE FOR THEM, THE MOST HIGH GOD HAD EXTENDED OVER THEM THE SHADOW OF HIS PROTECTION.

CARLOS' YOUNGER SISTER TERESA COOK GARCIA

JOHN AND LUCIA WORKED HARD TO NORMALIZE HER MENTAL INSTABILITY. SHE FINALLY MARRIED, HAD TWO CHILDREN, BUT THE MARRIAGE DIDN'T WORK OUT.

CARLOS' BROTHER VICENTE COOK GARCIA

VICENTE WAS THE ELDEST AND MOST NORMAL OF THE FOUR. HE WAS NOT LOCKED IN THE DARK ROOM WITH THE OTHERS BUT WAS SET OUTSIDE THE ROOM AS THE WATCHMAN. HE WAS ALSO VERY PROTECTIVE OF HIS BROTHERS AND SISTER. HIS GRADES IN SCHOOL WERE VERY GOOD. HE MARRIED AND HAS ONE CHILD.

CRISTIAN COOK GARCIA

JOHN AND LUCIA WERE AMAZED AT HIS GIFT WITH NUBERS. CRISTIAN COULD COUNT FORWARD AND BACK AGAIN WHEN HE WAS VERY YOUNG. TO HIM, EVERYTHING HAD A MATHEMATICAL EXPLAINATION. WITH A COLLEGE EDUCATION AND HIS TENDER, CARING HEART, I CAN ONLY IMAGINE WHAT HE WOULD ACCOMPLISH IN LIFE.

MISSION IN THE VILLAGE OF PASO DE VACAS

THIS IS ONE OF THE MISSIONS PASTOR ELIGIO HAS ADDED TO HIS LIST OF PLACES TO VISIT AND SHARE THE WORD. IT TAKES FAITH ON ELIGIO'S  PART TO GO WHERE NO ONE ELSE DARES TO GO BECAUSE IT IS SO INFESTED WITH THE CARTEL. THE PEOPLE HERE WERE SO VERY GRATEFUL TO HAVE PASTOR ELIGIO COME. THEY HAVE ASKED HIM TO COME BACK AND TAKE OVER THE CHURCH THERE.
